When two discouraged disciples are walking the road to Emmaus in the days following the crucifixion, the resurrected Jesus comes alongside them without at first revealing his identity, and he asks them what is wrong. In this sermon, Adam shares four aspects of Jesus’ character revealed in this encounter and invites us to consider how Jesus might be coming alongside us in our own discouragement, enfolding us into the larger story of redemption.
