Postcard from Leddy Beach

Join us this Summer as we step into a season of Sabbath, slowing down to taste and see God’s goodness in rest. We will explore four movements of Sabbath—stop, rest, worship, and delight—considering the biblical invitation to each and how we can be integrating Sabbath rhythms into our lives.

You are free to park in the lot in front of the Arena. We meet behind the Arena under the white tent overlooking the beach. For accessibility parking, follow the side road to the parking lot behind the arena, near the tent.

Many people pack a lunch, spend time at the beach, and connect more after the gathering every week - we encourage you to do so!

There will be picnic tables to sit at, but feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on if you wish! It tends to be breezy by the lake in the mornings, so dress in layers.

In the event of inclement weather, we will share on social media, our website, and the Church Center App home page to update you if we will cancel our gathering or relocate to Main Street Landing based on availability.

Sabbath is meant to be a blessing, not a burden, but we may hold assumptions about Sabbath that weigh it down and hinder us from receiving the gift of Sabbath rest God longs to give. In this audio reflection, Abby offers three approaches to thinking about Sabbath that will help us ponder and practice Sabbath with fresh perspective.
